About Slam-T
Slam-T came into existence after the two founders met in Spain and bonded over their mutual love for poetry. The first time they met in Ghent, Belgium, was at Auw La of Ghent University, a different poetry organisation. The wish to recreate such a space that was even more inclusive and open, especially for queer voices, prompted the creation of Slam-T.
“Slowly, we were contacted by other organisations to do collaborations and some of those involved podcasts and video making. Upon hearing from artists who joined and people who participated in the open mic that our organisation really created a space where they felt comfortable sharing and existing.”
